I See Dead People!

As well as other non-Physical stuff. Always have. It runs in the family, which means when you, the cat AND your Mom watchthe same "critter" scamper across the living room, your Dad is less likely to think you're nutz. Growing up the way I did has helped me avoid the "Glamour" that a lot of folks get with this sort of thing. Mom's view was/is(she's still around in her 80's...)"does it matter?". And let's face it, most DOESN'T. Sure, having PERSONAL PROOF that something survives after Death is great but how Useful is much of it? And of THE DEAD PEOPLE, I haven't noticed their survival was due to any Ethical Position. Nice and Nasty stick around, though the Nasty's more likely to me noticed by the Seeing Impared. As for the various Wights(Heathen generic term for Spirits), their part of their own ecosystem which sometimes and someplaces interacts with ours.Getting Obsessive about the Metaphysical versions of Pigeons, Squirrels or Feral Cats isn't Useful and can keep some folks from actually Living their Lives. I've known a number of folks in the last 3 decades "Out" of the Broom closet(and the other one as well;>)that have Obsessed about various minor forms of Land and Housewight to the detriment of their Living. There was a newage humor book out in the 80's that had a bit in it that's soooo true, "Just because They're Dead doesn't make them Smart". Neither does not having a Physical body. It simply means whatever doesn't have one, not that it's intrinsically "Better", "More Spiritual", etc. For folks raised in the more mainstream religions with their "Hate and Escape the World" mentality, it's easy to fall into....
Truth is, I've only had two Dead persons in all these yrs say anything Useful in my life. One was my Matrilineal Grandmother who Popped in and when I pointed out to her that she was dead she replied, "What the Hell does THAT have to do with ANYTHING" and an ex who apologised for his behavior(the minor bit being giving me aids...). The rest? Interesting and Entertaining but Useful? Nope.
For those who can't See, you're really not missing anything Intrinsically Useful you can't get elsewhere. For those that Can, you're Judged by the WOrld and the Regin by your Actions and obsessing about the equivalent of Invisible Seagulls isn't that IMPRESSIVE in the long run....
