I don't think of myself as a "whiner". I don't think of myself as a "hero" either. I just was raised to do the best you can with what you've been handed and that "bitching" about it while amusing isn't useful and "pisses" people off. While this is true, people often feel more sympathy for those who wear thier problems so everyone is aware. Unfortuneately, the side-effect of NOT is that either folks with forget that you have problems or Worse, you're not as sick as you say. When folks who have 1/8 of your health problems "take to their Deathbed", or "begging their doctors for more drugs(pain)", or "need a lot of assistance in daily living", "you couldn't REALLY be as sick as you are"....
"The Squeeky Wheel Gets the Grease" unfortuneately is a truism. My family, even my husband forgets, though with Chuck it's only for a second. I've a 70 y/o father who even after a stroke is able to do more than I, yet because I don't "look sick", they forget. There are times I think I should take less care with myself and learn to act like the majority of folks I know with my health problems. It'd be nice to have folks give me a hand for a change....
Pitty pot over for now....

Pat
