Closet-case Redux....

I have to shake my head over the last couple of yrs of "Shocked" COnservative folks, esp the "Beltway Bunch". It's not just the DC Gay community that's Known about these eejits. I've even asked my Log Cabin friends about what's going to happen when they're "Outed" as Hypocrites. One of the things that would drive me nutz was that they(the Log Cabineers)didn't think it WAS Hypocracy. The thing is, I DON'T think being Gay is an automatic Evil sentance, even for those who are Christian. I DO, however when you say one thing and do another. When you taut Family Values of Fidelity, Monogamy and obeying one's Oaths then "Sleep" with anything that puts out or "Tea Room Shop", that's another.
I haven't lived there for yrs but the major players were there then and it wasn't just the Gay community that Knew them. Everyone Knew who hung out on "P" Street(the bars that cater to Young Gays and those that like'm Young). My old roomate's Ex had run into America's Favorite Tearoom Queen at a popular Tidal basin restroom. Of course, he was a deacon himself, so the Hypocracy of another Moral Stalwart sucking cock in the next stall didn't "click". A couple of months later Alan(the deacon) was caught in a sting there. It was a well-known fact of life that Capital Hill "crawlers" were seldom charged(both Het and Homo. Got to keep that Family Values Imagine), certainly during the Reagan and BushI admins. They were transferred to Capital Hill cops and the records went bye-bye.
I don't "get it" but so many folks don't seem to have a problem about saying one thing and doing another. I guess it's not surprising that Tyr is one of the Regin I'm most comfortable with....
