Aug. 3rd, 2009 11:55 amEven as an Army Brat I hated them. Eejits who go vacationing in global hotspots and then expect everyone to jump when they get themselves in the messes they always do.
While I'm sure other countries have them, America has a particularly loud and large bunch of them. They expect that if they go to some place where violence is happening to civilians that it will be as safe for them to watch it personally as it would be on their TV's. And if they aren't rescued from their stupidity immeditately? Well, it's seldom made to be THEIR FAULT. What's so funny is these folks are usually the "Hate America" crowd yet they act as if whereever they are IS America. I'd hear stories at the dinner table when we were stationed in the Middleast about these eejits surprised that other gov'ts meant what they said when they say something's Illegal and that there are Severe Penalties. 'Course, in America that means lack of TV privileges and such. Not Corporal Punishment and dismemberment;>. And they're SHOCKED when they find out that being an American doesn't automatically get you exempt to local laws, mores and culture...amusingly something they usually ADMIRED being non-Western until it had them horsewhipped......
