DVD Recommendation: 'Autumn'
Mar. 25th, 2011 11:42 amThe central premise of this Zombie flick is that Canadians would rather die than act like Americans...and DO.
It's Spring and suddenly almost everyone in Kingston is coughing up blood, bleeding internally and drops dead. Someone(never revealed) broadcasts on a Public Access channel for the survivors to meet at a neighborhood community center. While the 30 some odd survivors accept a violently insane clown(literally. The guy is wearing clown makeup and attacks anyone that gets near him), they don't 6 of them who wish to go outside to get supplies and "see what's happening". Later in the movie a third of the survivors argue about getting rid of their only gun because "They're(the zombies) only walking around. They're not hurting us"(the guy with the rife had waltched a pack of zombies kill and eat a poodle...).
If you want "Lifetime, with ZOMBIES!", this is your flick. If you like watching folks with no real interest in surviving die(offscreen...very pre-70's)it is as well. If Emo annoys you DON'T.
Cheers,
Pat
