Grumble.......
Jul. 9th, 2012 12:16 pmEvery once and a while I have an outbreak of Vanity. Not of looks(that train's LONG left the station;>)but of accomplishment....and that of not getting any acknowlegement for them. And it Pisses me off.
See, Ric Passed in "84" and I tested + the next yr. The majority of those that did then are DEAD. While genes helped, medical skills both conventional and un played a big reason why I lasted long enough for "The Cocktail" to come about.
I was diagnosed with Severe Neuropathy in "93". Most of the others that long are walker(zimmer to the English;>)or whellchair, oft electric. I use a cane.
I was also born with two malformed lumbar vertibrae that gave me severe back problems since highschool(70's), yet remain active enough to even go Hiking and Camping up to a couple yrs ago. In "98" I was diagnosed with a herniated disk and recently it collapsed, putting pressure on the nerves. Oh, and those two malformed columns? They're disintegrating. "Wormy" is the discription my MD gave of them. I still go for AM Walks no matter how much it hurts.
Sadly, one of the many things I've learned from these decades of "Learning Experiences" is that those that try to carry on with life will be looked on as Less than those that DON'T. "You've Learned to COPE" is my fav response. THANKS. So I'd get treated better if 3 decades ago I acted like a whiny 2 yr old instead of an Adult. And kept it up until today.
Honestly, I'm OVER being told I should be more sympathetic. WHY?!? Even folks that should Know better aren't toward me. No one "Fluffs my Aura" but Chuck. 'Course, he hears the muffled screams just getting out of bed can bring. He's never going to make snide comments about being Lazy or trying to "Scam the System"...
Cheers,
Pat
