Sep. 27th, 2012 08:14 amI usually don't get too into it here but watching some of the stuff recently made me think....
My Mom convinced my Dad that when he Retired from the Army to do so to her home town, one that her family helped found. Her family was one of the 1st Mormon Pioneers to settle S Utah and most of her family still is.
So, I spent my teen up to my mid 20's "Behind the Zion Curtain". So, I've known a LOT of guys like Romney.
What most folks don't Understand if they weren't Raised(or spend decades around devoute members in areas where THEY are the Dominant religion)LDS is their World View. It is a Top Down absolute control...if you BELEIVE. No Protestant or Catholic clergy can direct where you go in the Afterlife. Heck, in LDS Beleifs, the husband does for his wife and kids. That's right. Smart off and if you haven't been Forgiven, your Destination is a lot less Pleasant than that of your Husband's. But he can be as well by further up the Line. If It's Said, It's So". That's why one day Blacks had "The Mark Of Cain" and not only couldn't be Priests, they weren't allowed in the Celestial Kingdom. The Next, they were no different than Whites and any privious material is no longer Valid.
This means that you create a Personality, esp those with Church Rank that act like they run on software....because they DO. Church Decides, old Tape pulled, new one Installed.
