SITREP;>.....
Jan. 31st, 2014 01:18 pmCopied from my response to Arlie:
It's been a crazy day, been on the phone and all over town. What I've found out reminds me that while I'd probably get better Med service in prison, getting jailed for Murder'd upset Chuck and probably kill my Mother;>!
Fukup #1: 2 yrs ago I was notified that I'd qualified for Florida Medicaid which made me unqualified for ADAP(aids meds assistance), even though Medicaid doesn't cover Meds. apparently, the OK was Tentative and Chuck's income(being Gay never helps but it's amazing how one's spouse can get you disqualified for Assistance here)later disqualified it. It lasted long enough to shut off Assistance and they NEVER sent a notification. So for the last 2 yrs I qualified for my old program but instead have been paying out of pocket.
Fukup #2: My Med-D provider changed it's policy for aids meds, beginning this month. I didn't see any notice of policy change in my monthly statement from them. From a $40.00 copay to 15% Retail. Just one of the 3 is almost $200.00
So, right now I've made an appt on Tuesday to go in and re-up to my old program. I'm also contacting the local rep for SHINE which will help me find a new Med-D Provider. I guess I'd been too lucky with Cigna since I had it since Med-D. Nothing seems to work for long in this Dying World.
Cheers,
Pat
