Religious stress....

mdehnersAs I've mentioned ad nauseum, my religious views have been a bit stressed over the last few yrs. 20 yrs as a Folkish heathen is stressed by Eejits within(like folks who beleive Gays and folks without kids are preventing Heaathen souls from Incarnating)and without(the Heathenry is anything I pwersonally consider Heathen because I consider myself Heathen crowd). Recently, it's made me think back with pleasant thoughts toward my Wiccan Days.
Now, I was already in trouble then because I was Polytheistic already. I just couldn't Beleive that ____ or _____ were "hats", "masks" or "Padded Bras" that _____'s wearing. Yet, there was less "UNCLEAN!?!" BS('course, that WAS 3 decades ago. Neopaganism's just as judgemental now as Heathenry can be;>). It was nice not to watch the constant hissy fits when someone at a camp out did a Rite not exactly like "WE" did. Half the times at moots folks who were at Rites of other kindreds would goof off during parts of the Rituals. It got old....
It's easier for me now. No local Heathens and no Reconstructionist-oriented ANYBODY so there's no having to explain WHY I'm doing "x" this way instead of that way....usually during the Rite. In a way, I'm WOndering if this isn't the real model we should be working on...not Neotribalism but Personal Interaction and Relationships with the Regin. They certainly Know how well that worked out last time...
