Buzy, Buzy.....
Nov. 27th, 2016 09:12 amWhew! 2 family dinners(1 Thanksgiving, 1 regular), Planting my order of Heirloom Southern Spring bulbs AND finalizing my 2017 Metaphysical Projects list. I'm taking the rest of the week off;>!
On the latter:
In addition to the continuing Voluspa Discussion group, I'll be dusting off rusty Abilities in what In My Day(;>) was called Low Magic. I'll also be working with the Icelandic Grimoire.
The totally new project is one I've wanted to for yrs but keep getting put on the back burner; the local Native Spirit World. A BIG problem is that the original tribes were all petty much wiped out by the diseases the Spanish over in Pensacola brought. The Creek moved in to the pretty much vacant territories. The Plus is that the original People's here were of the same language family so there's a fair possibility of shared Beings. 'Course, finding the stuff out when:
1-You're White and they think you're just another Newage Spiritual Stripminer
2-Most are militantly Christian and find the "Old Ways" akin to Child Molestation in detestation
3-The Whites that had been Interested in this material in the 19th and 20th Centuries tended to rewrite things to fit their beliefs of what "They Reallty Believed"(an Attitude I STILL get from Neopagans and Newagers about My Beliefs).
I've already discovered a little about the local Creek band's Ancestral God/desses and a few monsters(as well as their Trickster, which is the source of the Breyer Rabbit material;>) but nothing on the Spirits of Wood and Field(except for their Corn Goddess Uvce and their Hunting God Fayetu). Well, that's the point of a yr long project anyway;>!
Cheers,
Pat
