Going to try to post every Saturday, but......
Chuck's still in the hospital but at least not in the ER. He was in bed AT LEAST 2 weeks so I told them to expand looking for a nursing home since he's hardly an escape risk now. PT told me yesterday that they've only got him to stand at the side of the bed once and his legs started to give out.
I've known this sort of thing would happen if he was hospitalized. No place is going to be able to give him the one-on-one care I've been giving and once he was, being bedridden was inevitable. And when that happens, life expectancy drops fast. And considering only twice last week he knew who I was....perhaps for the best.
Got all the documents his caseworker wanted to her yesterday and hopefully in a week or two he'll be in a permanent new home. Like I told her, he's the important one. If the place is more than an hr one way I'll just visit him less. Getting him into a stable situation wher they can at least get him up in a chair at bedside for meals would be a step up from now...

Pat
