Family(sigh).....

mdehnersWell, it was nice while it lasted. A yr of Chuck and myself being treated as full members of the family. The "party's" over....
Until two yrs ago, my younger brother and his family were the "Apples" in my Folks eyes. Het, rich and married to a woman(barren, but still...she came with kids...instant Grandkids!)they could do no Wrong...even using Mom and Dad as their personal servants(to be Honest, it was mostly my Sister-in-law but CHris should have stopped it...).Then my Mom questioned why they were doing all this stuff for friends of my sister-in-law's and she became Irate, refusing to have anything further to do with my parents until Mom "Apologised". Chris, of course never did anything but wring his hands and go to work.He's never been comfortable around Conflict. That's why he's "into" Computers and left the Army after they took him out of an office. Suddenly we became Important! Dinners were oriented arround CHuck's work schedule. Then,two months ago my Mom decided for the good of the Family, she'd Grovel to Please my Sister-in-law, so my brother wouldn't have to feel Uncomfortable anymore.....
Now things are "Back to Normal". Back to CHuck missing 1/2 of the family dinners while those who don't work and have a single Senior son CHoose the time and place of almost every Family gathering. Summer 2003-Fall2004...we'll remember you fondly...
