Sad new info...

Yesterday we Learned another sad thing about our Blue Heeler, Boo-Boo(well, officially "Blue"). Like all our our pets(with the exception of one of our Cockateils, Stormy), Boo-Boo was a Rescue and a Abuse Survivor. We Knew about the torture that pre-teen boys had done to him as a puppy because both the relative who took him from the family told us and the burn scars over his stomach and genitals. What we didn't Know was that he had been Beaten with one of those cylyndrical hairbrushes...until yesterday. I hadn't been able to find the regular dog brush(probably buried in the backyard;>)and picked one up at a Dollar store. When he saw it he literally fell apart, whuimpering, cringing and wetting himself. Needless to say, I made sure he saw me throw it in the garbage and since he's been his bouncy self.
I really don't Understand Abuse of ANimals and CHildren. Adults, I can Understand how sometimes folks come to blows but even then, I don't "get" it.
I'm glad I don't...
