mdehnersAh, Summer is here. How can I tell? Because I’m being attacked by Land, Sea and Sky < G >! Fire Ants, “June Grass”(which arrives whenever Gulf water Temps hit 70F+ and is a Blue-Green Algae, not even a Seaweed…) and Mosquitoes. Only one is Indigenous to the region and it’s only been a problem in the last 20 yrs due to the “Miamification” of the Panhandle…
Thanks to the Price of Gas, Medicare-D and my annoyance at some folks in our local Pagan community, we didn’t attend the Spring campout. There are some Incredibly wonderful folks there, but since we don’t have anything in common Spiritually the few Royal Pains make it a less than Positive experience, esp when we have to dash from Chuck’s job to get there and speed back to get him back in time. In another 6 months he’ll be eligible for Vacation, so perhaps we’ll go then…
Oddly enough, one of my “Peeves” that the Royal Pains give/gave me is that which is in play on a couple of lists. That of List etiquette AND consistency of rules and enforcement. If something is against list rules, then it is against the rules…period. Don’t ignore them and don’t simply against those you disagree with or dislike. An example would be the popular “No Politics” rule. Often this is misleading because those in agreement generally don’t consider their causes “Political”. So, when someone disagrees with that Political View, they are warned(or Banned). For example, my folks consider Gay Marriage political but don’t School Prayer< G >. If a list has rules, then all moderators need to be on the same page….
