Global Warming, American Idol, Reality TV, whatever the cause...it's a royal Pain. My brothers' homes in the Nevada desert now get more yrly Rainfall than we do here in the Florida Panhandle, if you subtract hurricane output. We were over at the VFW post for breakfast with the folks Sunday and they were talking about the fact that if it wasn't for the Humidity here, we'd be Pahrump;>. The well is recharging even slower now and the water table has dropped to hwere the trees no longer can drink from it and are only getting surface water from sprinklers. It's weird looking at the "Dead Zones" anywhere close to a tree. All the non-Zeric Shade plants are either Dormant or Dead. As annoying as the High Humidity is, I Beleive it's the only real reason we've had so few fires with all the deadwood scattered about in the Woods from all the hurricanes last yr. I'm getting as "jumpy" as the Dog when I hear Redbeard's Rumble. Luckly for us, there's a lot of shiny new suburb between us and the Woods now;>.....
