Just when you think....
Jul. 16th, 2006 10:15 amHere I was, thinking today's the 1st day in a couple of weeks that I've not either been too buzy or unwell to relax and;>....
Dropped Chuck off at Work and came home to a car stuck in my driveway. A lady scavenging the stuff my Deceased neighbor's family had put on the curb found she couldn't get her car in reverse because of all the crap she'd picked up. SHe was able to get it into Neutral and I pushed her out...and put my back right where it was last week! PPTTTTPPPPTTTHHH!!!!!!
At least this will keep me from mowing the "Puppy Paddock" or doing more Painting on the Breezeway, so it's not a complete Cockup;>.
Been rereading Branston's 'Gods of the North'. Like Rydberg's Work, has many good points, many surviving manuscripts within and a personal "take" that I don't agree with at certain points. With Branston it's more Individual Interpretations, Rydberg it's his "Grand Unifying Theory". Both worth having in your library, though I wish my Rydberg wasn't computer printout. I had run into a copy at a used bookstore but this was during a time I was being Harrassed by one of His Devotees(who can, at times resemble Scientologists...)and wanted nothing to do with His WOrks....
The 3rd in the Wort Charm is Interesting. Stune, or Watercress "stands against Poison, attacks against Pain". Certainly Nutritious and does have an antibacterial effect. It also can be used as a counter-irritant for Pains such as Arthritis...
