Spring?!?!

mdehnersI was Mowing the Front and Side yards today(what moth is THIS;>?)and was reminded again why it's worth driving my Dad and Brother nutz to put up with a few Weeds. I've never Sprayed since we Moved onto the property. One of the things I noticed our 1st Spring was a patch of mini Ground Orchids. This patch 7 yrs later has spread throughout most of the Front yard. Drifts of WHite Orchids no taller than a hand. A number of other WIldflowers that Colonize the yard are coming up as well.
Another "Blessing" from this weather is having to wash Boo-Boo, since it hasn't been cold enough for a while and the fleas and mosquitoes that were knocked down a way back are going "gangbusters" now. The poor pup....
The Snow Peach is in full Bloom, as are some of the Azaleas and the Forsythias...two months ahead of schedule. And the main reason I was Mowing? All the normally SPring Weeds are up, including that whatzit that came in the load of Compost I got from the city. Kind of pretty(it's a pea relative...) but REALLY Invasive. It's grown in about a month to more than a foot tal and wide. Wish my old COmposter hadn't Rusted out, it'd make good "green manure"(as long as you gather it before Seed production;>!)...
