Is it just me?

Is it just me, or has there ben over the last 20 yrs an increasing anti-Euro "tilt" to Sci-Fi but esp to Fantasy writings? I mean, I've noticed this irritating bit for yrs but it seems to be becoming the Standard....or maybe just in my taste in literature;>!
It's got to be that in pretty much any book I read, certainly in American-authored Fantasy that unless the Blonde is an Elf, a Woman or Gay, they are one of the Bad Guys.Even when the Good Guys is light skinned and eyed, there's always a point to pointing out some Other Ancestry to make them "OK" in the Reader's eyes...

Was reading up on the "Patron Saint" of Petrol Conservation and loved the title of the paper he wrote in the "50"s" that all the "Peak oil" advocates quote bits of. "Nuclear Energy and the Fossil Fuels". Yes, "Green" Boys and Girls. St. Hubbert wasn't calling for Renewable/Ecological Fuels to replace Oil, he was advocating Nuclear Energy.

Also, I love attacks framed as "want to Understand your Ways" by starting "I realize you folks are scum, disgusting slimebags that bugger baby Koalas and other cute critters but I ...";>. Esp when the folks you support are hardly Perfect Rolemodels. Oh well.

With all the crap lately, I decided to do a Casting, the most "primitive" of methods. Just taking off my Hammer, placing it on the ground and Casting the Runestaves(used the Staghorn...).Landing in a clockwise path starting upon the Hammer:
Sowilo/, Laguz, Gebo, Wunjo, Nauthiz/Berkano, , and Oþala with Fehu rolling off the table. Pretty clear, now, what to do......

I finished(basically, since one member won't get back to me;>)our local garden club's newsletter, so at least I've done something constructive.
