"Twee" stuff...
Aug. 10th, 2007 09:13 amLast yr I started drinking Tea. I'd realised that my COla habit had begun to get out of control but I still needed Caffeine. I started with a mug a day of the good bagged stuff. A couple months later I got some loose from an Asian market and "86-ed" the bags from my home. What started as a pot or so a week now is up to a pot a day. I began to get stuff from on-line sources. One I really like is 'Culinary Teas'(www.culinaryteas.com), not just because of their quality and selection(which is great, BTW) but because they realise that a lot of Americans haven't been exposed to good and great TEas. Heck most of us(moi included) didn't Know how you brewed the different kinds(different times, different temps). They have these neat sample packs that are good for 4-6 pots, depending on the kind. Of the unflavoured, I can't do without Hojicha Gold. A Japanese Green TEa that is toasted slightly. The Chinese 'Emerald Petals' Green is a near 2nd. The two favoured Flavous are 'Crime of Passion' Green and 'Litchee' Black. 'Canadian Ice WIne' Black is a new one that's almost as good as the Litchee....
