for Fall are going to be easier this yr. I decided to use up Seeds I already have, so that's a bit of a Savings. Which is good, since my Tree order this Winter is two hardy Avocadoes...very pricey! I could possibly get away with one, 'Mexicola' which is reported to be "semi-self fruitful" but past experice with such means a handful of fruit a yr at best. Better to get 'Gainsville' as well.
I'm being awfully lazy about the new beds. Maybe I can get this Winter out of the Western bed. It's not as infiltrated by tree roots. However, it's near NOW the FHIA-23 Banana tree which has been vigourous but no flowering(so no fruit this yr...)and Bananas are heavy feeders, draining the soil around them. Ah, to be young again;>...
On a depressing note, I bought an Atemoya at the store and it didn't taste they way they sued to. This means:
that particualr one wasn't good
that particualr variety isn't as tasty
my Meds have caused changes in my palate.
Considering I bought an Atemoya tree this Spring, I'm hoping it wasn't the latter...
Cheers,
Pat
