We've all been there, many times for some of us;>! That moment when a friend says something so profoundly stupid that they obviously don't know you. That moment when you wheigh whether the friendship is worth it.
I had that today. I'd mentioned that I can only do about a 3rd of our yard(btw, it's a lot and a half)at a time. My friend told me that I just needed to lose some weight. Setting aside being called fat by a guy who hasn't seen his pecker since Monica saw Bill's, it showed that he had either forgotten or blown off everything I'd ever said about my health(btw I admit to being fat. I'm 5' 11" and have a 40" waist...).
I've a herniated disk, on top of Severe Neuropathy and that aids thing. I realise that a major reason for crap like this is because I've refused to take myself to my Deathbed(like my ex-roomate used to do every time he caught a Cold). To a person who thinks a non-Hospitalizing Flu is the worst,
someone like me(read Gay)can't be that Ill. As My Other Tribe" hears pretty much every day, "You KNOW how They ARE.....".
Now, I don't want a "medal" but there are times it would be nice to be thought as a doughty fighter than an attention-grabbing liar.
Unfortuantely, I live on the wrong planet and time....
Truth,
Pat
