Quiet...

Y'all may have noticed a lack of "Woo" here in the last couple of months. It's not that "I'm Losing My Religion",it's just that it's all been pretty Personal and not very applicable to others. Some, for those who read my journal who follow non-Heathen Paths might find some of it disturbing. After all, the Regin aren't "Bunnies&Lite" Deities and some of Their "suggestions" of Solutions to Life's Problems don't always end with a stearn flash of White Light;>.
I think a lot of folks who've been on a particular Path for more than a decide begin to notice this. I Beleive it's when you go from simply Learning to Practicing...not that you ever stop Learning, mind you. The thing is Practice doesn't relate easily to digital Media.It's more than the physical actions of Whatever you're doing...and that doesn' Translate well. There is Truth in that old "saw" that for those that don't Understand, no Explanation will Suffice". It's like trying to explain Colour to the Blind. It just gets both of you worked up.
Funny thing, I finally Understand a number of my TEachers(the real ones, not the Poseurs;>).If you couldn't grasp Something, no amt of Words trying to Explain will DO. All those Exercises, Rites, etc were to get me to where I could at least get a "glimpse" or idea of. Then when we did _____, I'd go "Ah! Now I Get It!".
I think this is also why so many Elder types drop off the "radar" of the Public lists and groups. Seekers/Noobs/101'ers/Young'uns/etc oft think the "farts" are holding them back. Heck, that's how the majority of Pagan groups formed from Wicca back in the 80's. I guess it'd be called the "Cartmann Mode"-"Screw you guys, I'm Going Home...". I personally got tired on lists that I'd been on sometimes since their Predisessor being lectured by some Eejit who'd bought a used Llewellyn book of some Pop Heathen author....of whom many weren't even Heathen.
I think that's why I like LJ. While there are Seekers, since it's your journal, they have to be Mannerly....OR ELSE;>!

Movie Review:'The Crazies'

Never saw the original Romero flick so I can't compare them. All I can say is as nice as Tim Olyphant's arse is, it's not enough to carry a movie(Michael Bien OTOH;>). Besides, you've seen this flick before...
Malevolent AND Incompetent Military create "agent" to "Destabilize Enemy Populations". Old batch goes to Disposal per plane, which crashes IN IOWA and they can't find it for over a week. Agent pollutes water supply and "fun" begins. Evil Military collects those possibly Infected for lab rats, the rest leaves in cattle trucks, later to be found executed and cremated(at least it wasn't rail cargo containers ala Nazis...). Finally, evil Military covers arse by nuking town, which end credits tell you arosolizes "agent" ala 'Return of the Living Dead' as surviving couple walks unknowingly toward Infected metro...
Only watch if you like formula flicks so you can yell out what's going to happen next;>...
