This week my mother gave me the family Deviled Egg recipe. She said she didn't need it anymore, since she'd been making it for over 7 decades;>! As I looked at it, a discussion at a family dinner was remembered. My brother and his wife were so glad that many school distrincts are dropping Cursive. Sounds great since few folks use it, right? The problem is that when you learn to write, you learn to READ. That means all those not taught Cursive will have difficulty at best Reading the writings of their older siblings, let alone parents, grandparents and so on.
Perhaps every library will have a Rosetta Stone so that this and future generations will be able to Read what their family members wrote. That is, if they hadn't taken all that paper down to Recycling...

Pat
