It IS possible to have your mind too "open". One big problem in the alt-rel community(s) is that we're so busy trying to see the Other's POV that we ignore the dagger coming at our backs.
As most know by now, I tend toward a Literallist view of both the World and Words. Personally, I don't Think you're a ____ if you only Beleive a couple of the Tenets of that Faith. This makes me different than a lot of folks who will tell me that their ____ friends are Supportive of the Spiritual or Orientational Path(s). Not in my Experience. A "Tru ______" isn't going to go against their Faith's Beliefs for Family, let alone Friendship. A "Cherrypicker" however, doesn't have that problem....and I don't consider them "Good ______". Because, well they're going against their Faith and that's one of the big definitions of someone who's NOT.
I have, many times THOUGHT I did over the last 35 yrs as an Adult. I learned that as soon as they realised that I wasn't going to change my "Spiritual or Orientational Provider" to theirs, they, at best lost Interest and at worse became NASTY. I'm also really over folks who keep buying this BS and Whining online or in person about how they "can't Understand why THEY turned on me". One of the signs of Stupidity is repeatedly doing the same thing and expecting markedly different Results....and I'm "OVER" Stupid.
Cheers,
Pat
