Went to the last of the required Diabetes classes the health dept requires it's clients to take and I was reminded AGAIN why these things are so simplistic. A simple class that SHOULD have taken an hr took 3 because a quarter of the class couldn't comprehend BASIC info. I mean, we spent A HALF HR ALONE arguing with a lady who couldn't see why she should eat more than a single meal a day("I just don't feel like eating"). Scariest thing, she was a kid who's Type 1.
I admit it. I didn't get it wahen I was a Nurse and still don't "get it" now that I'm on the other side. You do what you're supposed to to stay Healthy(er) or you don't and will probably die...probably painfully. WHY IS THIS NOT A NO-BRAINER!?!???!!!!!
Cheers,
Pat(who is realllly feeling the Social Darwinists may have a point, esp. with some people)

This Z-Horror/Comedy is not bad and worth checking out on a boring day. Basically, they put, Romero's 'Dawn of the Dead', 'Night of the Comet'as well as a few anyone familiar with the genre would recognise into a blender;>.
In one of the saddest Casino-hotels in Reno the staff is going about their day;goofing off, doing errands, fukking, etc. In the background the TVs are talking about somesort of technology that's going to "Change the World". TV's go off, the ground shakes and there's a flash. Just like 'NOTC' those sheltered by metal are fine(Refridgerated Pantry, Truck, Booze Locker;>). Those not? You get the idea....
Casino instead of Mall, Military instead of Bikers, etc.
Intentionally tongue in cheek and works!
Cheers,
Pat
