It's been a rough few couple of months. The newest is this week finding out that Mom's infection she had a couple weeks ago was from a necrotic tumor. So, having my SIL's newest newage focus added has, well stressed me a bit.
A couple months ago she was asking me at a family dinner how excited I was about everyone on the planet being wealthy this yr. Unfortunately, she Believes that since I'm not of a "conventional" belief-system I must be the one she presently believes in. I told her I had no idea what she was talking about. The usual newage stuff I've heard since the early 80's ensued.
Well, today I get an e-mail from her that it was BEGINNING. Then she posted some addy's for something called Project XIII. One was no longer valid, one was defunct and the rest were, to me pretty creepy...giving me flashbacks to some of the culty BS of the early 80's.
And I thought bitcoins were questionable......
What's always annoyed me about these things(and the newage movement in general) is that they are about and for a specific group; Middleclass Westerners, particularly Americans. The idea,(like bitcoins) that folks in 3rd World countries or even 1st World Poor have the stuff needed to, well have the stuff is "Sweet" but clueless.
I've learned over the yrs NOT to ask my brother about these things since he loves his wife and has a congenital fear of Conflict. The last time I did he simply didn't respond.
It's funny. The docs always tell me that aids patients are to keep their Stress levels low. Unfotunately, no one told the Universe since it hasn't BEEN unstressful YET;>!
