Small is Beautiful...
Jun. 12th, 2014 04:04 amI do hope that when we relocate with my brother and his wife after the folks Pass(after all, the only reason we moved here as family and when they go...)that this time we have input into our new home. Now, Hummingbird Home is quite nice. The thing is, Chuck is a born and bred city boy and I've been one since adulthood. We're used to a smaller footprint than my suburban brother and small town wife. We certainly didn't need a house with a living AND family room for instance;>!
I've always admired the Japanese aesthetic and truthfully, if I was single I'd be pushing for something like a Tiny House. We'd be happy with a small 1 bedroom or large Studio in an Urban environment but considering Chris has NEVER lived in one(and Sandi the 'burbs) I can't see them changing. My hope is older development of a city....preferably the NW. Depends on which force is stronger, Chris' work(which is mostly Mid-Atlantic to SE) or Sandi's apronstrings(Suki is in Portland. Scott is in DC but she's not going to move to a place that "Spiritually Bancrupt";>). If Mid-Atlantic, I loved Maryland when I lived in DC...esp. within a 1/2hr of the Chesapeake. Though I'm hoping for the NW. I'm soooooo tired of "Triple H Weather" Heavy, Hot and Humid.
Cheers,
Pat
