Time.....

So, I went to my re-up for Ryan White yesterday at our local aids org. Yet another new caseworker. Not Gay, Not hiv+. Another officeworker who doesn't have a CLUE what aids IS beyond some health class she had in school. Another that I'll spend the majority of MY TIME(which is supposed to be FOR ME) teaching....just in time to do the same again when they leave.
Originally, OASIS had been run by PWAs and their families(biological or social). Once the gov't got involved(once Real People started getting Sick)they had all sorts of requirements that folks who were Disabled(and usually not with a history of working in bureaucracies)didn't. So now it's filled with folks without "Clues" who work just long enough to get better jobs with various gov't agencies. Esp. for Long Term Survivors who lived through mult weekly funerals these folks are NOT the sort you're going to open up to....no more than a combat vet is going to some Vegan Newager who has emotional "Issues" if they step on a bug.
There is nothing to do about it. Even in cities with big Gay populations the same "Changeover" has happened, basically for the same reasons. It just IS.
