Disease Prevention....
Feb. 6th, 2015 10:09 amThe Measles Outbreak doesn't surprise me OR the number of folks that aren't Immunized. I saw this bit myself about 15 yrs ago when the memory of "The Walking Dead" faded from popular consciousness...esp in the GLBT community. When you don't see it it's like some long ago historical thing subconsciously.
That the older you are the more likely you're for Vaccinations is a "No Brainer". If you're old enough, you remember when Measles, Mumps or even Flu left classrooms empty and sometimes desks permanently. Me, while I personally didn't become Conscious till after the Polio Vaccine, one of my brother's caught it...the yr before it was released.
So I don't need to be forced to see that vaccinations are "A Good Thing". I DID like Jon Stewart's take on the subject. If you hadn't seen it, he equates not vaccinating with not boarding up your window during a Zombie Outbreak. Even if you and everyone else does, all it takes is one person not to and the next thing you know you're having your brains gnawed on.....
Cheers,
Pat
