So, I was watching one of those Nat'l Geographic EOTWAWKI series on CME's and the author was interviewed on the subject. He sounded interesting so I ordered the book.
Set basically this Spring coming, an EMP attack takes own America and over a yr the population drops below 20% pre-EMP. The scary thing is, he knows both his Physics AND Human Behavior. Now, I'm a big EOTWAWKI lit fan but I learned stuff I didn't or did but never thought it through. Like what happens to all those on Psych Meds when they run out? As someone who was on one in the 80's and had a reaction after a couple months on and had to be taken off, I can tell you that the Withdrawal is frightening.
Watching a standard family(well for North Carolina;>) go through a VERY plausible experience with this scenario is both good reading and a bit frightening....esp after a yr when a military convoy comes to their N Carolina town(that's how far from the coast America's military has gotten in that time) and finding out from the General that their 20% survival rate was excellent for the East Coast.
Cheers,
Pat
