Started my 2019 Projects yesterday, both Spiritual and Mundane. There was a change for the Spiritual though. A couple of weeks ago I was Meditating and I was Asked, "Why?". The best answer I could come up with for doing a "Yr and a Day" of Anglo-Saxon Heathenry was that I love the language. There was a bit about Mortality and WAS it the best use of my Time Incarnated....so I changed the Project.
Instead I'm Meditating on each Regin and the Greater Wights of Nordic Heathenry. Yesterday was The Old Man. It started with the Wild Hunt and ended with Him walking a battleground. At some of the bodies He passed a figure stood, turned and vanished....
The Mundane is both getting back into Baking Bread AND using Heirloom flours and starters. While my culture I ordered(didn't have much luck getting a good local one over the yrs) hasn't arrived I DID find some Spelt flour and replaced 1/3 of the Whole Wheat in my fav recipe with it. Except for sticking big time, it was DELICIOUS!!!!! I have some Rye and plan to order some Emmer and Kamut later this month.
So far, so good;>!
Cheers,
Pat

The thing I most wanted for Jol was a set of Pickle Pipes. These are Silicon lids with one way valves for Fermenting Pickles. This morning I bought a pack of Mason jars and when I opened them to wash I noticed that the mouth was too wide. The "pipes" are for Regular mouth jars.....
Not a horrible problem. While I can't return them(opened the package)I got the Amber tinted ones which will make lovely storage jars for things like Heirloom Flours. I'll just remind myself to look for Regular mouth jars;>…
Cheers,
Pat
