General Update!
Aug. 17th, 2021 01:09 pmChuck: Moving here has been very good for him. He's lost 15# water retention and can get his shoes on again. He's also more bright and alert. That his 1st docs here didn't work out has been a Blessing in disguise. His MD in Florida had basically written Chuck off(in fairness, the last year and a half he was in pretty bad shape. Even I'd thought he'd Passed a few times in his sleep) but the doc here has been working her tuckuss off for him.
Me: General Medical is good. Pain meds continue to be an "adventure". Had my INITIAL appt with the Pain Clinic here Monday. Thursday I go there for a Psych eval. Richers just have their docs fill their prescriptions. ANYONE who goes to a doc or clinic that takes state funds has to go to special docs AND take a Psych eval BEFORE a final appt with the actual doc before you get a single script: even one you've been taking for more than 15 yrs. Thankfully both me and my old doc were cynical about how fast I'd be able to establish my care....
Other than that, we both LOVE it here! These are OLD mountains and, as damaged as they are, are very old ecosystems; some areas didn't get glaciated last ice age. Lots of "Woo";>.We were up in Cherokee Nat'l Park this weekend waterfall hopping(those that were accessible to us;>). Stunning!!!!
Cheers,
Pat
