mdehnersEven for my "Breeder Readers", I'd like to recommend this DVD if it pops up in your local video store, 'Laughing Matters...the Men'. It's a documentary about Gay comedians but it's mostly their routines. Bruce Villanch, who's Written comedy from the "Brady Bunch" to today's shows(and awards shows...) tells wonderful stories. My fav is not about a joke at the Oscars(which today would have been on Nickalodeon) but the "fun" that went on around getting it approved with the Censors and then having Steve Martin to refuse to do it at the last minute(the accidental overhead in the auditorium, ""The Cock joke has been pulled. Again, the Cock joke has been pulled..." is only a small bit of a very funny story)....
One I'm going to remember is Alex Mapa quoting a quip of Truman Capote about ZaZa Gabor,"If she had as many Pricks sticking out of her as had been stuck in, she'd look like a goddamn porcupine...":>
Nothing Graphic, unless you consider the Black comedian's return to his WHite SIL that "maybe be doesn't LIKE Chocolate" with, "I do, I just like mine with nuts...."
