mdehnersI've hacked up enough feathers in the last couple of days I could make at least a comforter for a Full bed. For yrs my Ego's got the best of me. I'm Right and my fellow Recons are Wrong. "Wrong!" I said. "Universalists are just another branch of Heathenry and we need to work together". Well, I was wrong. I admit it. I humbly(well, as best I can:>) take my corbae-snacks. I do Beleive that there are Universalists that are Heathen but they are the minority. Like Modern Pagans that don't wish to be called Eclectic WIccans anymore(because of the rep that many of their fellow religionists gave it...), Universalists don't want to be called Nordic Pagans. If the experiences of pre-C Heathens are worthless to you, why do you wish to be called such except for the general rep that Pagans have.
There are Universalist Heathens but my UPG on the subject is that for most their Politics is valued above their Spirituality. If not they'd be simply Recons. "Progressive" values such as Sameness, distaste for history and Precidence, Feelings over Thought, Self over Group,etc "trump" silly things like history, culture, ancestry, etc...
I wondered how things could have been if I'd only listened....
