For Something Lighter;>!
Jul. 31st, 2009 02:39 pmI recommend the "Mockumentary" 'Big Man Japan'. Done in documentary form, it's about a family of superheroes(well, it's past down from father to son)who fight the ubiquitous monsters always attacking Japan. Unlike his predicessors, the present "Big Saito" depends on endorsements and is constantly picked on by Greens(he uses Electricity to Grow Gigantic and the process scares birds...)developers(damaged buildings) etc. Given less respect than a Garbage man, he fights monsters while being haranged that he didn't give the TV audience a good show and finds himself moved to in between infomercials. I esp. liked the Strangler Monster that uproots highrises and deposits with it's ovipositor it's larva in the resulting empty lot;>....
