Death to Noobs!

mdehnersWell, maybe not that drastic ....but
It's not so bad on my alt-rel, alt-lifestyle and alt spiritual lists but unlike a lot of folks who read my blog, most of my lists are quite Mundane and have a shitload of really irritating noobs on them.
These folks have discovered lists in the last couple of yrs with it's available(to those who can afford them)superfast machines,fiberoptic modems and MYSPACEBOOKs. They simply can't Understand why moderators on many lists do not allow all the "bells & whistles" to be used when they post and are quite nasty about it. As one put it, "if you can't handle it, you shouldn't BE Online". The fact that they were talking to someone who used to post on alt-pagan because there wasn't anything else out there was immaterial. If you weren't Rich enough,as far as they were concerned, you should "bugger off". Truth is, even IF I had a machine that could,I wouldn't want to see some post on a coloured and textured backgound with little animation widgets about the page, esp for a "I Agree!" post.....
Heck I seldom embed things on my blog because many folks machines can't handle even that, let alone the workload these weenies wish to force us to accept.'Course,I'm wierd. I'm Interested in content, not appearance....
