Every yr I get a smile out of one of my plants...a holiday cactus my Mom gave me in a cat pot. Yes, a pot shaped like a cat,a rather fat one;>. Funny thing, it wasn't a great gift. In fact, it was a gift given to her that once it bloomed, had lost her Interest and she was really just getting rid of it. I guess that's why it makes me smile every yr when it put on a fantastic display. Something beautiful that would have been lost if not ending up in my home. I guess it could describe my dog, who nobody wanted due to damage from his abuse or my husband, who many folks would have left with his Head Injuries. There's often Beauty where others see something Less Than....
