mdehnersI came from a world where my Role Models were Military, Police or ...Cowboy. That means short, neat hair. I like mine that way and like my "mens" the same....and in shape. Needless to say, most Pagan and Heathen men aren't my "cuppa".
What I've ALWAYS found Amusing is Het women's reactions to my hair. I can always tell when I need a Cut because I have total female strangers come up to me completementing me on my hair! Even today,in it's Blonde/White form.
It took me a while but I figured it out in high school..thanks to some of my girlfriends. I've the hair they wish and attempt with dyes and perms. Me? I think it's Color's always nice(it goes with the skin & eyes;>)but I don't like growing past a basic Business cut at the longest because I have to "fuss" and I hate to. Run a towel and a comb through, that's the ticket! My only attempt to grow it out lead me to look even more like "Beau Duke" than usual and if I let it further, Farrah!
Personally, I've always prefered a "Chrome Dome" to a "Headbanger"(I Pissed one off telling him I don't sleep with Drag Queens;>...) and have never bought into the whole Hairy Heathen BS. 'Course, it didn't help that the Heathen men I knew with short hair all had good jobs and supported their families while most of the Hippy types "Majored" in Hippy economics. All Long hair shows is ....LONG HAIR. Well, that and dirt. After a week in the Woods without a shower, both are "whiffy" but the High&Tight crew look a bit more presentable:>....
