mdehnersOne thing a lot of us do that ARE Ethical Beings is also one of the most Harmful things we can do to both ourselves and others; we try to find a reason how we could have prevented something Unethical. It's an Ego thing. We all consider ourselves soooo important that something we did cause another person to do something Unethical. No one but ourselves is responsible, certainly not the Bad Person.
Sometimes, Bad people do Bad things.....PERIOD. We could actually be Perfect, WHole and COmplete (to use an annoying newage phrase) and they STILl would do what they do. So get over yourselves. The Universe isn't all that into you;>. You aren't that Important.
That said, what do we do about Bad People? Well, for one thing, realise that they ARE. Over the yrs I've watched Cop friends nad fellow nurses try to find out why Bad folks do what they do because they can't accept that they ARE Bad People. In their Beleif Systems, there IS NO EVIL, just a mistake. WRONG. EVIL is INTENTIONAL. A Murderer isn't confused or mistaken. Mental Illness is a different subject, though the "Anti-Evil crowd" will try to paint Evil AS a mental illness....which to me denegrates every decent person who happens to have one. And sadly, it's pretty much proved that you're who you are after 7 so Rehabbing Evil is a waste of resources. And yes, sometimes Innocent folks are convicted(more a sign of our money-based legal system than anything) but there are PLENTY of Evil folks that are Proven truly Guilty. Compost them and sterilize their children....
