One of the postitive things about being in a "Heathen Free" area and being Solitary is that I don't have to but up with "Jocks with Hammers". I've never been a big fan of the "Dude" culture and heathenry's the only member of the Archaic Rennaisance" that has them. Now, I'm not talking about Outdoorsmen. I enjoy(or did before the bod failed me;>)Hiking, Fishing, Hunting, Wilderness Camping and Rock Climbing(Freestyle. No Lines). Watching Sports and Drinking..NO. While this makes Heathenry the most "Mainstream", it's always annoyed me, as it does in real life. I Understand Playing, I don't NEVER doing so and just Watching others do. I also never cared being considering Inferior because I'd reather DO than Watch other Do.
'Course, back in my Wiccan days the Outdoors activities I liked generally brought out the Tofu Brigade's Rath;>. So in a way being Solitary has been a lot less stressful. Also, some Jock-types seem to take it personally that you just spent the last couple of hrs Hiking and Practicing WIldcraft while they've been "B&Bing"(Beer and Boasting) at the firepit the entire moot.
