Woo addendum...
Jun. 4th, 2009 01:24 pmI while back I mentioned that there were a bunch of Ember-red Landwights clustered around my Red Guava and that I noticed that there was a branch that had either some disease or Winter Damage since the new leaves on it would wilt and die. Well, They're gone and I've noted no further damage. Of course, still don't know if They were there for Helping or Hurting though;>....
Be nice to have more than 1 Guava this yr(the storms last yr blew 3 that it produced off...).
ALso, discovered that there are 2 Avocado cultivars that survived the 1984 local Megafreeze(well, they froze to the ground but were bearing again in two yrs...), 'Mexicola' and 'Gainsville'. The bad part abaout the 'G' is that it's grafted onto 'M' seedlings so if the grafted bit dies off, you then have two 'M's and you never know what a seedling will produce;>...
I'm going to put money aside each month so I can afford them in the Fall when Shipping begins again....
Cheers,
Pat
