mdehnersRecently, I Discovered something...that the Oak that I've been placing my Offerings and emptying Offering Bowls at isn't the largest on the property. What's the INTERESTING part is that I HAVEN'T noticed a tree the diameter of a Mini-Cooper 15' from my bedroom window!
I've been WOndering the Why's of both not noticing AND Noticing NOW(not that Landwights COULD Veil something that big, making it look a 1/3 of the size) and I think I may have at least part of it.
If I'd Noticed it's size when I moved in over a decade ago I'd have made IT the Offering Tree. They OBVIOUSLY didn't want this to happen. The "Why(s)"? There's a number of reasons, starting with maybe They're Native and didn't want anything with a "Euro Vibe" to my Offerings Upsetting something they didn't WANT TO BE. After all, that Oak is next to that pool of Light that the Landwights sometimes gather about.
Why they stopped? Perhaps they figured that I'd "Get IT" and not switch trees. Honestly, I get a very Uneasy Feeling when I think of doing so...so not going to happen.
