Ah......it's that time again. Went to my clinic appt. Health wise? Good. Nice and stable. Unfotunately, as I'm going through my every 6 months reup for my Med assistance I get the news. New guidelines designed to save money, which means more hoops to jump through for the same coverage. The 1st wasn't that big of a deal, just there to Humiliate. You needed Medicaid documentation EVERY TIME. Since Medicaid cutoff in Florida is only a couple of hundred dollars a yr, I wasn't qualified a decade ago and they certainly haven't loosened qualifications since. You just have to go to an office shared by DMV here, wait in line for a couple hrs. Fill out a form and wait till they read it and stamp it "Denied". Then bring it back.
The 2nd is after you've gone through this. You have to apply for some religious org assistance and wait till they reply. If they say "Yes", you are now owned and required to follow the guidelines of that church. If "No",you get to have the coverage you've had for the last fwe yrs. Right now I'm waiting to see if some church is willing to try to "Save" me physically and hopefully Spiritually or not.....
Got to love Public Health in "The Dangly Bits".....

Even in California nowadays. I long ago got used to every yr being worse physically than the last but having to constantly fight for assistance I've already won gets OLD after a while. If this last app fails then my only choice is to go every month to a list of churches and beg them to help....and I've had plenty of experience since the aids epidemic began on how "Unconditional" THAT works out.
I know what I'd do if Chuck wasn't in my life. But he IS.
