One of the things my Het friends haven't had to put up with is the "Diversity Police" harrassing you because you Date those you have more in common with. In the gay community, there's a very VOCAL contingent that finds ANYONE whose dance card doesn't look like a Benneton ad a Racist. Over the decades I've fukked guys I wasn't Interested in just to shut these folks up. Personally? I think it was demeaning to those guys who were getting laid simply because of the colour of their skin.
Even when I was in a relationship. Luckly for those guys, I grew a set of balls in the late 80's and no longer allowed myself to be manipulated by those punching my "White Liberal Guilt Button". As far as I'm concerned, everyone has a "type" that they're most attracted to, Het or Homo, Male or Female. And those that they AREN'T. And that's OK in my "book".And like most things, we generally act somewhere in the Middle;>.
After all, there weren't a lot of French-Canadians in Utah...at least in the late 70's-early 80's;>!

You'd be surprised. Once upon a time I placed an F-seeking-M ad on an online dating site. I specified a physical type. In response I received flamage and whinage from entitled gentlemen who felt abused by my exclusion of them. I particularly remember the Asian(s) who were unhappy about the number of women who were only interested in white men. (I was a lot more specific than "white" and wasn't even thinking about race.)

Frankly I suspect the common denominator might be the maleness of the not-one's-type individuals. A lot of males feel "entitled" in ridiculous ways. (Did I ever tell you why I ran screaming from heathenry when I first encountered it? It was males who felt it was a white woman's duty to produce babies with men who apparently couldn't get a date otherwise, doubtless due to their personal unattractiveness, but they thought it was due to white women treacherously preferring black men.)

Those are the same Eejits that use the same arguement to exclude Gays and Lsebians(as if ANY of us over 40's would have survived by not "Closing our eyes and thinking of England";>).Since most of the online Dating(well, outside the Tech Community)came after I'd met Chuck I wouldn't know but considering how many online Asshats there are who'll Flame you for posting a Family Meat recipe I'm not surprised. Even with all the filters I've put on my e-correspondance I still use my Delete Key on at least a third of my Inbox.....
