The Good News is......
Jun. 13th, 2013 04:49 amthat both my aids and Diabetes are stable enough to go to bi-yrly MD appts. The Bad News I got from my clinic apt was:
New doc. Seems like a nice lady but one would think that if your patient tells you that he had to go to the ER for SEVERE L leg pain and the ER doc diagnosed a neurological problem that you'd AT LEAST examine that leg. NOT a good 1st Impression, esp when her exam was so much less than the one's I used to gve my patients at the beginning of every shift back when I was working....
New regs from the State. Florida is on one of it's Purge's again. New regs for aids med assistance include paperwork that I filled out back in 2002. The county no longer has a medical records person that can actually go and open a file IN medical records(which tells you the records are NOT for patient care but in case of lawsuits)and the requirements simply to fill out the request(which I will fail since back in 2002 my SSDI was over the maximum to qualify and I doubt they've "liberalized" the Medicaid requirements here)are AMAZING. Even I have no idea what they're asking...
To ask WTF from Medicaid I TRIED to contact the agency that covers that program:
The phone number given on the Florida state site is wrong. It's a private residence. Luckily for me the nice lady HAD it.
That led to a number which no one answered. It DID give the local office address. Unfortunately, that is NOT the present address...it's now a Dollar Store.
And that's where the Universe left me at 1700 hrs yesterday.
And supposedly aids patients are to avoid Stress;>....
Cheers,
Pat
