With the folks nearing the end of their spans, so does our tenure here in "The Dangly Bits"(unless my brother moves to some pesthole like Pahrump, Nevada;>!). Since any Inheritance form my folks get deleted due to my Disability, he gets everything but is required to help us. It's Understood that we'd leave the area if they did and Chis dropped the "bomb" accidentally during Mother's Day(well, it was more his wife but;>). It WAS kind of amusing that Mom didn't "get" it because her comment was, "I'm Not Moving!!!". No, you're NOT.
What this means PRACTICALLY is that there's no point in adding to the property for our sakes. It also means curtailing my plant collecting. Luckily, the kinds I do are easily propagated by cuttings so , as I did when I moved here from California, get a supersized box of Ziploc bags and a pair of scissors;>.
Personally? I'd love it if we all were relocating to Portland. Even though my memories are from the late 80's I loved the city. San Francisco, Seattle and Portland are my fav American cities in order of most to not as most....
I'm sure we're here for a couple more yrs, at least with Dad. Mom, I'd be surprised she makes it to Yule but I felt that way before...
