Sooo, I get a call from the folks yesterday. Apparently, their neighbors bought one of those fancy Composters and the wife, a bit of a Germaphobe saw a roach in it after she’d been putting raw eggs in it. She wanted it GONE. So, I now have one I’ve seen in catalogues nearly a grande in cost for FREE.
Wheee!!!!!!

It really did. After another HUGE bill from what are routine (and covered) labs I mentioned to our clinic coordinator that I think this is how Quest was able to underbid Labcorp...by switching the burden to the patients. She said she's beginning to agree with my usual Cynical ponderings;>....
