So, yesterday Chris called to see if we wanted to go with them and the folks to see the house. WE DID.
Pleasantly surprised. Not that it was nice(we expected so and the pics confirmed it)but it was nicer than the pics. It was perfect for them. The house itself was perfect for US. The growing area would be doable for me, being two courtyards but not idea for this "Green Gay".
We did, however find out it wasn't a "done deal". Due to treated termite damage, it was overpriced about $10,000(which is about what would be needed to get it up to Mom and Sandi's Approval). I just worry that if it doesn't go through that the folks would be disappointed.
The area they're looking for us near both their new home(which is STUNNING, just overlooking the state park and it's boundary stream)is in a great location with the park, the intercoastal waterway and the bridge to Destin and the Gulf. It's also, I'm sad to say like our neighborhood was when we moved in...low crime(we had a shootout half a block away), clean and polite neighbors. Unlike mine who stripped my Quince tree night before last. At least if we move there my trees would be behind a fence in my courtyard. It's not the gated community that Chris and Sandi's new house is in but since you have to drive though Richer neighborhoods to get to it, it's almost as good.
Cheers,
Pat

Oh, I'm sorry about your quinces :-(

I do hope you get to have a garden. For one thing among many, where will the butterflies go?
