mdehnersMy family has always found it Amusing how Electronics have always fritzed out around me all my life. Personally, I've found it a PAIN.
The main reason is it's generally blamed on me being a Luddite. I'm NOT. For an almost 60 yr old man I'm pretty functional tech-wise; doo-dad and using.
So, we've changed our TV platforms. Tossed phone out of our bundle and gone pure Cell. Internet's the same but with the savings we got our Cable upgraded to HD and some extra channels(including one I've missed since we've moved to "The Dangly Bits", BBC America).
Well, we get all our old channels now in HD but none of the new plus Chuck's TV gets ZIP. Part of the reason is my brother gave us TIVO and the cable co doesn't like folks not using their crap. So there's a card and a tuner....one or both aren't working. So my techy brother's been working on it for two days without result so we'll have to have someone come over...which means the cable company gets to charge for someone to fix what they created in the 1st place!
