The VAST majority of my Spiritual books are 2ndary and Tertiary Lore sources and books like this remind me WHY.
I shouldn't be too Judgmental, after all, I too use UPG's in my Practice. However, I don't write books that don't label them such. Still, that wouldn't be so bad if the author's "Duophilia" wasn't so apparent. EVERY Goddess is listed with a "complementing" God and how Her Femininity "balances" the male Energy(s). I didn't "buy" the Polarity bit back in my Traditional Wiccan days and I'm certainly NOT almost 4 decades POST.
About the only good thing about the book is that it makes some Lore around the female Greater Wights in one convenient place.
Good book for Norse Wiccans though;>....
Cheers,
Pat

Sounds pretty dire, actually. I guess this is Bryan Wilson of Virginia, rather than Bryan Wilson the sociologist of religion, but I won't go looking '-)

One of the nicest things about ceasing to act as a "teacher" was that I no longer feel obliged to keep up with whatever the newbs are currently reading. (Of course I never quite made it to "teacher" within Heathenry - too many issues with the way "priesthood" was being constructed, and too burned out besides. My teaching experience was Wiccan/generic Pagan)
